Ziaran Meat Company was the largest red meat processing complex in the country, which was built and launched in the 1950s with the aim of supplying the majority of the country’s meat. The company has a livestock unit with a capacity of 120,000 calves and 600,000 sheep per year. The company’s animal feed factory has a production capacity of 45 tons per hour, as well as a livestock slaughterhouse with a slaughtering capacity of 350 heavy livestock and 1,500 light livestock, and three meat packing halls located within 100 kilometers of Tehran province and several other densely populated provinces of the country.
